This website

The website is served by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. To deliver the pages and protect them from abuse, the host processes the technical data every browser sends: IP address, time, requested page, browser and operating system. This is necessary to run the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts. Fonts are served from this website.

Downloads and update checks

The app's downloads and its daily update check are served by Cloudflare, Inc. from updates.leanroot.app. An update check carries what every web request from a Mac app carries (IP address, preferred language) plus the app's name and version. Nothing about your files or your Mac is sent. You can turn automatic checks off in the app's settings.

The app

Leanroot Clean scans folders on your Mac locally. It has no account, no analytics and no telemetry, and it never sends file names, sizes or contents. Items you remove go to your Trash or are removed by the tool that owns them (Docker, simulators, Homebrew), only after you confirm.

Email

When you write to an address at leanroot.app, the message is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to a mailbox at Google (Google Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland). Your message is used only to answer it (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR) and deleted when it is no longer needed. Emails started from the app's Help menu contain the app version, macOS version and Mac model, and you see them before sending.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to its processing, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Write to support@leanroot.app. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one of your German federal state.
